June 17, 2010 Hoard Road Bridge Project Meeting
PUBLIC INFORMATIONAL MEETING TOWN OF LEBANON, HOARD ROAD BRIDGE PROJECT LEBANON TOWN OFFICES THURSDAY, June 17, 2010 7:00 p.m. MINUTES Board Members Present: Chair Lohny Fredrick and Clerk Deborah Behl Joining later were Supervisor LeRoy Tietz and Treasurer Jon Schoenike. Absent: Supervisor Todd Wilson. Other Officials Present: Dan Wagner and Marv Ruhland from MSA, Design Consultants Brian Field – Dodge County Highway Commissioner Peter Thompson – Assistant Dodge County Highway Commissioner Brent Boyd – Lebanon Highway Superintendent Adjacent Landowners Present: Glenn & Mary Welles Alfred Schoenike Daryl Frederick Robert & Lori Schilling Pledge: The Pledge of Allegiance was recited. Public Notice: Clerk reported that notices were posted on June 10, 2010. Presentation: Dan Wagner of MSA Professional Services explained the project is to replace the structurally deficient bridge on Hoard Road over the Union Pacifice Railroad. The project is scheduled for 2011 and will take at least two months to complete. The new Hoard Road Bridge will be located slightly to the west thereby allowing use of the old bridge during the construction process. Preliminary cost estimates are: $530,000 Bridge $235,000 Approaches $119,000 Admin & Design $884,000 Total Preliminary Cost estimate. Approximately 80% of the project is to be paid with Federal funds. The balance will be funded by County, Local and Railroad funds. The formal presentation ended at 7:53 pm after which landowners met individually with the MSA officials to discuss specific plans related to their land.
