LEBANON TOWN BOARD MEETING - LEBANON TOWN OFFICES THURSDAY, January 5, 2012 7:34 pm to 9:55 pm MINUTES Members Present: Chairman Lohny Fredrick, Supervisors Todd Wilson & LeRoy Tietz, Treasurer Jon Schoenike, Clerk Deborah Behl. Pledge: The Pledge of Allegiance was recited. Public Notice: Clerk verified that the agendas were posted on December 31, 2011 at all the normal locations except for Universal Co-op which was posted on January 4, 2012. Public Comment: None at this time. Minutes: MOTION (Fredrick, Tietz): To approve the December 1, 2011 and the December 14, 2011 Board minutes as distributed. Carried. Treasurer’s Report: MOTION (Wilson, Tietz): To accept the Treasurer’s Report with a balance of $77.21 in checking and $1,171,415.76 in the interest account. Carried on voice vote. Per Diem Requests: MOTION (Fredrick, Wilson) To approve the payment of the following per diems: for the Planning Committee Kevin Zubke – 3, Lori Naylor – 4, and for the Park committee Joan Babbitt – 8, Carrie Butler – 8. Carried on voice vote. Police Report: Officer Dave Beal presented the monthly police report which is on file. Election Officials: Newly appointed election officials took the oath of office. Beaver Land Division: MOTION (Tietz, Fredrick) To recommend to the County approval of the minor land division letter of intent #110815 for Robert Beaver of Trestle Road, to remove the restriction on Lots 1&2 to allow for the reconfiguration of these lots (pin# 026-0916-0542-001). Carried on voice vote. Operator Licenses: MOTION (Fredrick, Wilson) To approve operator licenses for the year ending June 30, 2012 for William P. Caudle II and Amy J. Malkowski. Carried on voice vote. Fire Department: Chief Brent Boyd reported completion of calendar drop with generous donations received. Highway Report: Highway Superintendent Brent Boyd reported that: - We are still having a problem with street signs being stolen. - We need to adopt a maintenance program for road signs. Road signs have been inventoried. - Requested KB Tree Trimmers to be hired for one day for park and road side trimming – Board approved by consensus. - Highway department is very busy brushing on roadsides during this mild winter. Park Committee: No report. Board Member Reports: - January WTA county unit meeting will be held in Juneau on January 18, 2012. - Hoard Road Bridge Project Stipulation had been signed by the railroad. State will sign on Friday. Bids have been awarded by the State. - Consensus of Board to change February monthly meeting to Wednesday, February 8, 2012. - Chair spoke about the Rock River flooding concerns. Meeting for the area will be scheduled in February on this topic. Public Nuisances: Wilson distributed an updated proposed public nuisance ordinance. Several areas were reviewed in depth. Consensus of Board to hold more discussions at the February Board meeting. Future Agenda Items: No additional. Monthly Bills: Bills for the month were reviewed. MOTION (Fredrick, Tietz): To pay bills in the amount of $27,108.52. Carried on voice vote with no negative votes. Adjournment: MOTION (Wilson, Fredrick): To adjourn. Carried.
