ANNUAL TOWN MEETING – APRIL 10,
2007
Minutes of the Annual Town Meeting of the Town of Lebanon, Dodge
County, WI, held at the Town Headquarters on Tuesday, April 10, 2007
at 8:00 o’clock p.m.
Meeting called to order by the Chairman, Lohny Fredrick. The
Chairman led the Pledge of Allegiance and welcomed everyone. 18
electors were present.
Minutes of the previous annual meeting held on April 11, 2006 and
also the special meeting which was held on November 15, 2006, with the
Budget Hearing was read by the Clerk, Dorothy Kuehl. MOTION BY LOHNY
FREDRICK AND SECOND BY LE ROY TIETZ TO APPROVE THE MINUTES AS READ.

The Treasurer read and reviewed the 2006 Annual Report. The
questions that were asked were answered by the Board. MOTION MADE BY
LESTER NASS AND SECOND BY DAVE GETTELMAN TO APPROVE THE ANNUAL REPORT.

Officer Beal of the Emmet/Lebanon Police Department gave a report and
handed out the yearly report for 2006.
Old Business: Fire Chief, Brent Boyd reported on the Lebanon Fire
Department year. Annual reports are available. They had 31 fire
calls this year and at present have 48 members with 33 active, 2 new
and 2 going for training. Grants received were for $36,000.00 some
with matching funds. $60,000.00 was raised in the fund raisers held
this year. In 2007 they will apply for new radios. The new truck is
here and firemen are receiving training. Dan Leischer will be running
the concession stand again.
Chris Wellach, President of the EMS, gave their report. They had 69
calls in Lebanon, last year 65 were in Lebanon. They have 22 members
of which 4 are drivers. The EMS will again host a breakfast fund
raiser on April 29. A FEMA Grant was applied for but was not gotten.
The Chairman thanked the EMS and the Firemen for all their good work
that they do throughout the year.
Edward Raether, President of the Lebanon Historical Society presented
their report. The old town hall has now been completed as a museum
and is open on the 1st Sunday of the month. The 20th anniversary will
be celebrated in the coming October. A Chile Luncheon fund raiser is
also in October and Edward thanked the Town for their support.
The Band Report was given by Wayne Schliewe. They went to 7 parades
and had 3 concerts in the park and with a park concert at the Fire
Dept. picnic. This is their 117th year. They also thank the Town for
the use of this facility and their support.
The Park Committee was presented by Brent Boyd. New playground
equipment is being looked at. New door and windows were put in the
hall and more trees are to be planted. They will apply for the grant
again for the shelter presented last year.

Nick Demetropoulas did a fund raiser for a
batting cage. LeRoy Tietz commented on the good job that Brent and
Ben did for the 10 day picnic and tournament.
New Business: The Officers reelected on the Spring Election were
sworn in. The Clerk, Dorothy Kuehl swore in Jon Schoenike as
Treasurer, Lohny Fredrick as Chairman and Todd Wilson as First
Supervisor and LeRoy Tietz as Second Supervisor. The Clerk Dorothy
Kuehl was sworn in the Chairman. The Chairman announced that the
spring clean up will be the first 2 Saturdays in May. The Board of
Review will be May 24th with the open book on May 4th.
Pat Ireland from the Lebanon Sanitary District # 1 reported on their
project of doubling the capacity of their system, which should be
completed in June. Chairman introduced Dave Gettelman, appointed to
the Planning Committee, who will work under Ben Gomez, the Land
Division Officer and become the new Officer. We will also need two
new Planning Committee members and one for the Park Committee.
